To be considered for admission to St. Cloud State University from another institution, transfer students must complete the following steps:

  1. Complete a SCSU undergraduate application.
  2. Submit official transcript(s).

Complete Your Application to SCSU Step 1

Fill out an application through our admissions office. Applying is free and you will need your existing StarID and password.

Submit Your Official Transcript(s) Step 2

SCSU requires official transcripts from every non-Minnesota State institution attended. Official transcripts from Parchment or Clearinghouse can be sent electronically or via mail directly from the institution to SCSU.

International Transcripts
International Transcripts must be provided to the Office of Admissions.

  1. This transcript will be scanned and returned to the owner
  2. A NACES-affiliated (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) evaluation is preferred
  3. Official transcripts not in English must be translated to English and sent directly from the school

Additional Guidance on Transcripts

Students who have earned fewer than 15 college-level credits beginning after the completion of high school will need to have submitted their official final high school transcripts or GED. ACT or SAT scores are recommended, but not required.

Students who have earned credits solely through Minnesota's Post-Secondary Enrollment Options program may apply as a freshman. Additionally:

  • Provide an official high school transcript(s). ACT or SAT scores are recommended, but not required.
  • All credits earned with a grade of "C-" or higher from a regionally accredited university or college-level institution are considered for credit transfer.
